Belgian Navy officer's saber with leather scabbard, with or without blade etching
Optionally with Flemish, French Damascus decoration (etching) or with a bare blade.
Specification:
Blade: Forged stainless steel, hardened and tempered to approx. 48-55 HRC Rockwell, hand ground and polished. Blade is flexible and elegantly curved. Dimensions: approx. 810 x 22 x 5.5 mm
Outfit: Cast from solid brass, consisting of screw, grip cap, bow with marine anchor and grip strap. Hand set, ground and polished. 24k hard gold plated finish.
Handle: Made of particularly durable ABS plastic, completely wrapped with three twisted and silver-plated brass wires.
sheath:
Seamless tubular steel covered with genuine cowhide, black version. The fittings are handcrafted from brass. Mouthpiece with soldered hook for carrying device and marine anchor, as well as 2 soldered carrying rings on the mouthpiece and middle band. The fittings are firmly screwed to the steel tube.
The inside of the sheath has scratch protection for the blade on both sides.
Length of the scabbard approx. 850 mm.
