This sword was made by WKC for the German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck.
When Otto Prince Bismarck, the founder of the German Empire, celebrated his 80th birthday in 1895, he received a richly decorated sword as a gift from “the grateful arms city of Solingen”.
The sword can be viewed in the German Blade Museum in Solingen (Deutsches Klingenmuseum)
