Austria Infantry-Officer Saber M1861, heavy version
Austrian infantry officer's saber with steel scabbard, model 1861, historical, heavy version with a wide blade and scabbard with fixed ribbon.
Manufactured in Germany based on historical models by WKC.
Specification:
Blade: Forged stainless steel, hardened and tempered to approx. 48-55 HRC Rockwell, hand-ground and highly polished. Elegant bend.
One hollow track per side. Dimensions: approx. 810 x 25 x 6 mm, extra wide blade
Outfit: Cast from solid brass, consisting of screw, cap, bracket and grip strap. Hand set, ground and polished. Finish: Bright Nickel Plated.
Handle: Made of particularly durable ABS plastic, black, finely pearled surface for a firm grip, wrapped with three twisted and silver-plated brass wires.
Sheath: Bent stainless steel tube with spout, handcrafted, ground and polished. With a fixed carrying ring made of stainless steel and a riding ring on the back. Brass spout. Finish: bright nickel
Inside of the sheath with scratch protection for the blade on both sides. Length of the scabbard approx. 850 mm.
