In November 2005, WKC purchased machines and toolings of Wilkinson Sword Ltd.  for the production of various ceremonial swords, incl. the Guards Regiment Swords.

The swords are handmade according to British MOD specifications.

           Forged steel blade, hardened to ca. 48-52° HRC Rockwell, then well-tempered and hand-polished. Acid etched with the Regiment´s pattern. The acid-etch is so deep, that one can   

           feel it with a fingernail. Dimension of the blade is ca. 825 mm x 6 x 25 mm.

• Guard: Pierced steel guard with Regiment crest, hand-polished, nickel-plated guard. Pommel, top scew and ferrule made of solid brass, nickel- plated.

• Grip: Handle is covered with genuine shark skin, wrapped with 3 silver wires.
• Scabbard: Your choice of a nickel-plated and hand-polished steel tube with 2 attachment rings, or brown leather-covered scabbard or black leather covered Sam Browne scabbard.
